We were tasked with creating the winners' trophies for the annual Vancouver Island Sporting Clays Championships. Our goal was to fabricate a design that would appeal to the Island's best gunslingers, and look good afterwards on their mantle or coffee table.
Because Vancouver Island is home to some of BC and Canada's best shooters, we decided to draw directly on the Island as a source of pride and inspiration for the shape of the award. We used solid oak and clear acrylic to create the outline and topographical layers of the Island's imprint. For the base, we fashioned a circular piece of matte black recycled paper, reminiscent of a clay, which holds the layers together.
We work with you to realize your ideas into reality, using a range of mediums in extensive configurations.
